EDENRIDGE III Civic Association Objective & Activities

Your Association was formed to help make Edenridge III a great place to live and to assist in working with neighbors to help maintain property values.

Each year the Association solicits dues from the Edenridge III residents in accordance with the by-laws for the following purposes:

  • Administer deed restrictions,

  • Contract for snow removal from our neighborhood streets,

  • Contract for street tree maintenance and replacement,

  • Contract for street sign maintenance, & fire hydrant painting as needed,

  • Contract for speed limit signs in critical areas,

  • Coordinate support with other Civic Associations when faced with common problems,

  • Conduct liaison with select civic organizations including the Council of Civic Organizations of Brandywine Hundred (CCOBH), the Civic League for New Castle County & other nearby civic associations,

  • Publish a handbook/website & directory containing important information about the Association

  • Regularly send communications to neighbors regarding issues, problems, & opportunities facing the community.

  • Organize social events for neighbors, with an emphasis toward children & family events

  • Contract for maintenance of common grounds, mainly the traffic circles.

Each fall the Association Board of Directors conducts the Association’s Annual Meeting at which the prior and future year’s expenditures are discussed and directors and officers are elected for the coming fiscal year. Speakers & local political representatives are invited to attend to present/address pertinent community issues such as zoning & building changes to the community.

However, this is not the only opportunity for members of the community to make their voices heard. The Officers of the Board are available and can be reached by phone, email or by mail at your convenience, so do not hesitate to speak up when the need arises.

The Board of Directors also needs your suggestions, cooperation and financial support, but more importantly, the community needs your active participation in the Association. Please volunteer your time and effort to help make Edenridge III a better place to live.
